The Armed Forces Medical Congress is an institution of the Hellenic Armed Forces Medical Corps, with a continuous and successful presence for over fifty years. It has always been held at the city of Thessaloniki, the birthplace of the Military Medical School and subsequently the Military School of Corps Officers (SSAS).

Thessaloniki was not chosen by chance to host the Congress, as it highlights the spiritual bonds of Medical Officers with the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH), where they studied, trained, excelled, and honored.

The activities of the Armed Forces Medical Corps have never been limited strictly within the boundaries of the military but have consistently extended to the broader social environment through its contributions. The Congress provides the opportunity to develop topics of medical interest that address the scientific concerns of the participants.

The vision and inspiration for the Medical Conference originated from a team of Physicians in 1970. However, the implementation and success of this idea have been the collective work of us all!
